Tea Gardens & Sikkim

Having hit up Kolkata and Darjeeling (plus the towns surrounding it), we were invited to go and stay at a tea garden just below Darj, situated at 6000ft. Here they make tea that sells for some NZ$355 a kilo.

Alex the psychopath safety geared up for the tea factory.

Tea Gardens at 6000ft

It'd be rude not to take a selfie in a tea garden, I mean really.

These boys are a lot of fun.

Our final major stop was Sikkim. Sikkim is a private state so we had to get permits in Darjeeling in order to be approved entry. It's a beautiful place but the roads getting in were beyond awful and that really did dampen the feeling I had towards it unfortunately.

The view from Alex and Finn's hotel room in Pelling, Sikkim.

Our driver who was taking us on a tour of the Pelling area pulled over on the side of the road so we could take photos.

Two little lamas in Gangtok.

Thanks for checking out my photos of India! Next stop, Nepal.

Devon.
