Bangkok, Thailand

These last couple months, I was lucky enough to have a few nights in Bangkok, Thailand, on my way to and from India and Nepal. Each end of the trip was completely different. On the way through I met up with two cousins of mine (Alex and Finn) that I joined for a few nights of partying in between eating a lot of roadside and visiting The Emerald Buddha and Grand Palace. On the way home I returned with my Dad, tired but put up in a friend's beautiful apartment in the city. We spent our time dining out with his school friends in the evening and hitting up the malls during the day.

All the murals at the Grand Palace were hand painted.

I've spent a fair amount in time in Thailand and it never fails to please me. Bangkok is the perfect stepping stone into Central Asia as it can seem pretty hectic and go-go-go, but also has a way of bringing you back to reality on your way home. The land of smiles is a home away from home, no question.
