Queensland

Like I said earlier, I've been going through my photos from the four weeks I spent in Australia back in Feb and March the last couple days. I'm definitely regretting not posting them as I had an absolute blast!

I flew to Sydney on the 18th of Feb, picked up my good friends Uppy and Sam, and jumped on a plane to the Gold Coast. There we met up with Adelaidian David and spent a week hanging out in Broadbeach, Surfer's Paradise and Brisvegas! These three are my best friends and it's a bummer I only get to see them when I schlep over to Aus. Though it definitely makes it all the more special being able to have a proper holiday alongside them.

We booked ourselves an apartment to stay in in Broadbeach which was absolutely amazing. Think dining area, breakfast bar, a kitchen and kitchenette, two bathrooms, two double bedrooms, two lounges, two balconies... But alas the first thing we did was hunt for free wifi (there wasn't any).

We spent a day at Dreamworld! If there's anything the Gold Coast knows how to do, it's theme parks.

Brisbane

We arrived into Brisbane on a Friday afternoon and spent some time wandering around the city. I finally got to meet Emily, a friend I've actually known for some time thanks to the beauty of music (and the medium of the internet) as well as Patrick which was for sure a highlight of my trip. We were all going to see Blink 182 that night so killed time at our hotel hanging out next to the pool. Or in it, in Sam's case.

Fabulous photobomb if I do say so myself.

Dem nostril flares.

Uppy may have slipped over upon taking her feet out from a brief dip in the pool.
While the Gold Coast's weather wasn't fantastic, Brisbane definitely surprised me by being a pretty comforting city. Blink 182 was incredible, I cannot explain how incredible it is to hear I Miss You live as the clouds open and it starts to torrentially rain. Music brings me to Australia every year and I wouldn't have it any other way. More importantly, I couldn't and would not do it without such fantastic company.

Please check out Uppy's photography work, she's incredibly talented - go give her a like on Facebook!

More photos from Sydney, and Flourished & Sunkissed coming soon!
